TSF Nexus (Pvt) Ltd was founded with a singular conviction: that scientific knowledge should be freely accessible to everyone, everywhere. Operating as the scholarly publishing arm of The Shagufta Foundation, we combine rigorous editorial standards with the principles of open science to serve the global research community.
From our base in Lahore, Pakistan, we publish four peer-reviewed, open access journals spanning biology, natural sciences, chemistry, and environmental science. Every article we publish is freely accessible under the CC BY 4.0 licence, permanently archived, and assigned a Crossref DOI for long-term discoverability.
We are more than a publisher. Through our research and development activities, we train early-career researchers, build open science infrastructure, and advocate for ethical publishing practices across the region.

Dear colleagues and friends,
When we established TSF Nexus in 2023, we did so with a deeply held belief: that scientific knowledge is a public good, and that the infrastructure of scholarly publishing should serve science — not the other way around.
“We believe that where you are born, what institution you belong to, or how much funding you have should never determine whether your research reaches the world — or whether you can access the research of others.”
Too often, the current publishing landscape creates barriers where there should be bridges. Researchers in low- and middle-income countries face prohibitive subscription costs to access the very knowledge they need to advance their own work. Young scientists struggle to find affordable, ethical publishing outlets that meet international standards. And the cycle continues.
TSF Nexus was built to break that cycle. Every article we publish is immediately and permanently free to read, download, and share. We charge no submission fees. We offer APC waivers to those who need them. And we hold ourselves to the highest standards of editorial ethics and peer review — because open access without quality is not a solution.
But publishing is only part of our mission. As a research and development organisation, we are equally committed to building the capacity of the next generation of scientists. Through training programmes, mentorship, editorial board opportunities, and our forthcoming scholarship programme, we are investing in the people who will drive scientific progress in the decades ahead.
I am proud of what our team has accomplished in a short time — four peer-reviewed journals, HEC Y-Category recognition, DOAJ indexing, and a growing community of authors, reviewers, and readers from across the globe. But we are only getting started.
